News: The Centigraphe Souverain Officially Discontinued

Hinted at the start of the year, news regarding the discontinuation of Journe’s Centigraphe Souverain came to light. The Centigraphe Souverain was first released in 2007 and went on to win the GPHG Golden Hand in 2008 for its remarkable mechanical ability to measure increments up to 1/100th of a second using a 3hz movement.

Since the unofficial announcement at the start of 2018, mostly spread through word-of-mouth with no official confirmation; Mr. Journe finally confirmed earlier this week that the Centigraphe Souverain (CT) has officially ceased production.

With the manufacture not producing any new pieces, the last remaining CT’s are being sold through boutiques and retailers with no replacement deliveries. This also makes the new CTS2 the only model to carry caliber 1506 throughout the Journe collection.

The CTS2 was announced in October 2018 and replaces the CTS with a 44mm case in titanium with a striking yellow lacquer dial.
